Post from Tok's mom

Tok is such a funny Saint. When he can, he likes to sneak on here and post silly stuff about the family. And now he posted about our food storage so I guess I should update everyone.

We kept our #10 cans of storage items when we transfered but most other stuff we ate or gave away. So now that we are getting settled and into a routine, I am trying to restock the cupboards fairly quickly. Simple basics like tuna, peanut butter, jams, jellies, syrups, Bisquick, etc are on the list but I needed a place to keep track of everything. That is when a friend mentioned the food storage analyzer on Emergency Essentials. I tried it earlier today and wow, I had no idea that we had as much in the #10 cans. WE thought we had about 3 months worth bt the analyzer estimated our supplies at 213 days and that doesn't include the freezer which is currently full of pork, chicken, fish and beef. So we are in good shape on the food front which is a huge relief! The analyzer even has a place to add store items that are unique to your family. For example, we use a lot of jello and jello pudding (due to my recurring neck surgeries- GRRR) so I can input that as food storage.

The other great thing about the Food Storage Analyzer is that it calculates calories, nutritional content and servings. So, I can definitely use it to help with meal portions, balancing nutrition and supplementing our needs.

I highly recommend checking out the Food Storage Analyzer and see how great your food storage really is.

Please let me know what you think of it.
